So I went AWOL..

I know... Ive been gone for awhile. Ive had alot on my plate. I was laid off from my job of 9.5 years. I was upset at first as it was very sudden and very sneaky. But there is a reason for everything. Im making up my time that was taken from me when mom got sick from my babies and now Im getting to spend time with my son just me and him and we can go up to the school anytime for lunch. Im loving it!

A little about my kids

I know its every parents job to think they have the best children in the world. And that is fine, they can think that, because without a doubt, I KNOW mine are. ;) Im not quite sure what I did or I should say.. what we did to deserve our amazing babies, but I sure do know how lucky we are. Kennedi This is the second 'mommy' of the house. She is the first person that her little sister and little brother call for when hurt unless there is blood but thats another story. I like, no, I love the fact that they love and trust her enough that they feel like she not only can but will help them at the drop of a hat. She can be crabby and moody but she always comes back with an apology. She is so sensitive. If you raise your voice or look any way but happy, she is concerned and will ponder ways to try to fix your problems. She was our easy baby and she is our easy big girl now. She is going into the 2nd grade and she is an A honor roll student. She is a complete tom boy and loves all things boy related but also loves Hannah Montana and stuffed animals and she loves little boys already. Emma-Jade This is our fire cracker. She is unlike any other child I know. She is gorgeous. She is into fashion and make up and the Jonas Brothers and Jesse McCartney. She loves Vanessa Hudgens. If you ask her what she wants to be when she grows up, her answer.. pretty. Shallow.. nnnaaahhh. She is feisty, strong, determined and annoying. Yes, I said annoying, Im her mom, I can say it. But this little girl, she loves unconditionally. She cares and hurts so deep when she sees others hurting. She is inquistive and wants to know everything. Dominic The baby of the family. He is the most cuddliest baby out of all of them. He loves to be rubbed on and snuggled with. He loves cars. His favorite is the Ford Mustang followed closely by the Dodge Challenger. He can name most cars on the road but if these two types of cars are within a mile of us, he can sense it. He is mild tempered but will get pissy at times. He is surely a mama's boy.

Are you ever too old to go out and fun?

So last night Darren and I went out with our best friends, Chris and Brandi. We went to Studio Movie Grill to see Hangover. By far, it was the funniest movie I have seen in awhile and has a ton of one liners that we have repeated all day long. Then we went to SpeedZone. We had a blast but felt so old walking through there and standing in line for the go-karts but OMG, it was so much fun. Of course, today, I think we all feel like we have been in a true collision from a car. Brandi and I hit head on but later on in the night, she got pegged harder by some chick and after that was ready to go and I was to. I need to go edit some pictures so Good night!

1st time to blog

Im still not quite sure why I am now blogging.. I set this up at the urging of my sister in law, Dana. I wasnt quite sure if I wanted to pursue it or not as I am into several time consuming 'hobbies' already but thought I would I would give it a shot. Its alot different from MySpace or FaceBook. And its another way to put my pictures out there if I decide to post them. I guess more than anything, I decided to start this blog as a way to keep me busy and take my mind off of things. I just lost my mom to an extremely short battle with breast cancer. She fought it so hard. I, along with my family, was standing around her and holding her as she drew her last breath. She went to heaven on her wedding anniversary. I take comfort in believing that my dad was there to greet her into his arms and they celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary together for the first time in 16 years. A little about myself. Im 31 years old and I have been married to Darren for 9 yrs this appoaching August. Together, we have three children. Kennedi who is 7 and is going into the 2nd grade, Emma who is 5 and will be in Kindergarten this August and Dominic who is 2 yrs old. I work on computers and also do photography as well. I also have begun scrapebooking and gardening. Im trying to keep busy to fill my void that my mom has left. Its been 5 days (she left us on May 31) and Im so lost without her.
